Il dottore sembra spaventato e si congeda in fretta. Appena l'investigatrice ha lasciato l'ufficio, l'uomo chiama proprio la spia, i due sono infatti d'accordo e pianificavano di smezzarsi i soldi della vendita del brevetto. Renzini avverte la spia dicendole che l'investigatrice è sulle sue tracce e che dovrebbe sbrigarsi a decriptare i codici per ottenere quel che gli serve. la spia gli dice che è un cretino, che avrebbe dovuto tenere a bada la ragazza e cercare di depistarla, ma proprio in quel momento l'investigatrice entra nel suo appartamento. Appena dentro trova una chiavetta usb in camera da letto, corre a prenderla ma la spia la attacca. Le due si affrontano sul letto, la spia cerca di soffocarla, mentre l'investigatrice fa di tutto per sfuggire portando con se la pennetta. la spia è fortissima e il suo handsmother non lascia scampo alla ragazza. bocca e naso sono completamente tappati, la vista le si offusca, le energie calano, è sempre più debole e poco dopo sviene. la spia è felice d'aver vinto, lega ed imbavaglia l'avversaria, dopo di che si siede sul letto e chiama Renzini, ma nessuno risponde. non sa che fare e riprova più volte a mettersi in contatto con lui. Nel frattempo l'investigatrice ha ripreso i sensi e cerca di liberarsi dalle corde. Dopo diversi tentativi sembra riuscirvi, così, appena prima che la spia lasci l'appartamento, l'investigatrice la aggredisce alle spalle e la strangola. Le due donne lottano, ma questa volta la spia è stata colta di sorpresa e la rabbia dell'investigatrice la avvantaggia. Preso un cuscino lo schiaccia con tutte le sue forze sul viso della spia soffocandola senza tregua, questa scalcia e tira pugni, ma è tutto inutile, poco dopo perde i sensi e quando si sveglia è ben imbavagliata e legata sul letto con molti giri di corda. Nel frattempo l'investigatrice sta guardando il cellulare della donna e vede le numerose chiamate fatte al numero di Renzini, capisce quindi che i due sono complici e ride pregustando la sua vendetta.
