Even before the shoemaker has picked up the Berkemann mules, Mila watches as he puts a toy truck under her car tires. His plan is to secretly watch when Mila drives over the toy truck. But Mila thwarts his plans again and finds the truck under the tire. She goes back, fetches the Berkemann mules and crushes the toys in the yard. She does not know that the shoemaker lurks voyeuristically around the corner and watches what is happening.
