I shine a flashlight into my mouth, showing you my teeth and tongue, my cryptic tonsils and the back of my throat. I show you swelling and the wet pink hole that's in my lower jaw, prodding it gently with my tongue and showing you the stitches. My breath is so stinky from the clot!
