In this custom fantasy,

I have been sent out on a rescue mission along with other members of my badass re-con team. After entering my first target location, searching out both dangers and survivors in the area. Soon I clear the room and see none of either present. A little confused, as I was told i was entering a hotbed location, i pull out my target zones map and plan out my next route. As i sit, focused on my map, I do not notice the hidden danger lurking beneath my feet. Just when I thought the coast was clear, powerful small vines begin creeping up to the soles of my shoes. I...

I have been sent out on a rescue mission along with other members of my badass re-con team. After entering my first target location, searching out both dangers and survivors in the area. Soon I clear the room and see none of either present. A little confused, as I was told i was entering a hotbed location, i pull out my target zones map and plan out my next route. As i sit, focused on my map, I do not notice the hidden danger lurking beneath my feet. Just when I thought the coast was clear, powerful small vines begin creeping up to the soles of my shoes. I must have been quite intent on the map as I had no idea these vines were there, let alone that they were busy cutting away at the thick rubber soles of shoes. Before long the vines have cut open the toes of my shoes and wrapped themselves around each one of my toes!

Eventually i decide i know the best plan of attack for my next target zone and get up to leave. But much to my surprise, my feet seem stuck. I can only go so far, and then i just cannot move any farther. Plus, when i try, my toes hurt! Puzzled i go back to sit on the stairs and evaluate the situation. Which is when i discover the vines and the damage they have done to my poor shoes. I try to yank the creeping vines off of my toes but it's no use. So i reach into my supply belt and pull out a tool to try cutting myself loose. But that doesn't work either. Frustrated and embarrassingly defeated by some sneaky vines, I must call my fellow rescuers to come rescue me. ME! Ugh, how mortifying. ©Daphneysugarrose
