Midnight Avenger arrives at industrial warehouse to take down a retired master illusionist who has been terrorizing the community. The two engage in a down-and-dirty fight scene. After tossing crates, weapons, and furniture between each other, Midnight Avenger gets a debilitating blow to her knee, shattering the kneecap. She collapse to the floor and from the pain. After she's a disheveled and dirty mess, she lays helpless on the floor, de-masked, humiliated, and broken amongst a pile of rubble.
Midnight Avenger slowly regains her consciousness and groggily attempts to locate her bearings. While taking stock of her condition, she notices her mask has been removed and is now on the other side of the room. She attempts to stand up but cries out in pain when she realizes that she her knee is shattered. She must gather her strength and crawl across the floor to retrieve her mask. She must pull herself to her feet and escape the premises to get medical attention. After several minutes of aimlessly wandering what appears to be a maze, she has no clue how she got there or how long she has been She knows she must leave a visual clue to track where she has been, so she decides to leave a glove as she continues to look for an escape route. Several times, she comes across the glove indicating that she has just been going around in circles. As she moves further in the maze she comes across items from other heroines. The deeper she goes, the more items she comes across. She realizes that she is being held captive in a heroine chamber. Midnight Avenger begins to lose her nerve and slumps to the ground sobbing in despair and desperation. She is being hunted and is not equipped to handle another confrontation.
