Lana Denver (newcomer Aria) is in her dressing room getting changed for a bit part she has for a soap opera in Downtown Metropolis when she hears what sounds like screams from one of the buildings basements nearby. She has time to change to help, so she transforms into Super Girl and runs off to help. Super Gal is walking cautiously down the steps and hears the muffled cries of help again.
