Astronaut Jackie Sherwood is going where no human has ever explored before. NASA has landed her tiny exploration pod on a possibly habitable world with Earth-like vegetation, signs of intelligent life and a thin atmosphere. She is excited to test any flora and fauna she finds. She discovers a congealed-looking but obviously living organism. As she is examining it, the creature gurgles and absorbs through the fabric of her suit, slithering against her bare skin.
