Aether awoke remembering only a sickly sweet smell, and with the memory of a cloth being pressed against her face. Slowly she began to realize that she had been tightly hogtied and cleave-gagged. She also discovered that she was no longer in her own apartment but in a dirty hotel room only God knew where. She could hear people talking in the next room, and for a moment thought of calling out for help, but realized that they might actually be the people who had taken her.
