the shoes are new and hurt after short time wearing them becaue the straps are so thight. you just thought damn I have to get out of these shoes then you take off these sandals and take your feet on top of them to find relief. after few minutes continuously pressing flat the straps of these sandals, you start occasionally shortly lift one leg to can view how flat crushed the straps are. then you take your smartphone again and play further with it (write to your best female friend or look something up on the internet) while further the shoes were flattreaded by your feet.
last part:
the break is over, so you have to unfortunately take your shoes back on. you want to slip back into the shoes without looking, but you notice it doesn't work because the straps were so crushed flat. then you look down at your shoes you're horrified. You have no choice but to use your fingers to bring the squeezed straps back in shape so you can put the shoes back on. then you stand up and go away.
