Hurricane season is behind us in Florida but that doesn't mean houses don't need worked on. I am helping out a friend that their house got flooded with 4 foot of water and the carpet and padding all needs removed before the mold starts forming. I asked for help but since nobody offered, you get to just sit in the corner and watch me work hard to cut sections of the totally flooded and heavy carpet into sections that I can barely lift and get out to the front of the house so I can let it drain so then I can lift it easier to move to the roadside for pickup. I am helping out a friend that their house got flooded with 4 foot of water and the carpet and padding all needs removed before the mold starts forming. I asked for help but since nobody offered, you get to just sit in the corner and watch me work hard to cut sections of the totally flooded and heavy carpet into sections that I can barely lift and get out to the front of the house so I can let it drain so then I can lift it easier to move to the roadside for pickup. You watch as I bend over in my tight black shorts and my sports bra and my work gloves and cut, roll, lift and move each piece of carpet and padding. It doesn't take long for me to be soaked in sweat and by the time I'm done with this huge task, I am also covered in dirt, flood water, and sweat. I am breathing heavy and working hard. I will just add disgusting wet carpet remover to my resume, to say the least.
