The screenplay goes like this: Maria is attending some art classes without her boyfriend knowing about this, because he isn't very supportive with her on this matter. Somehow, he finds out that Maria is going to those classes, so he decides to spy on her on the day when she has to attend. He wants to punish her for not being honest with him, so he stalks her around the house while she's getting ready to leave.
