Well, that's not how the things happen next, because she walks straight into the puddle, not noticing it. After she applies the makeup, Maria tries to leave, but that sticky substance which leaked from the drain is very strong and gets her feet immobilized. At this point, Maria tries her best to escape, but because gets harder by the minute, the struggle is intense.
