You want to dye something so you have a big bucket full of dye you put on your rubber gloves slowly and carefully checking them for holes and submerge your item deep into the dye squeezing the dye into the item with your hands. keep reaching...

The rest is up to you maybe you have a break part way through and change to a different pair of gloves? The last gloves you wear (if you do change) should have a small hole in them, just a tiny pin hole between the finger and thumb like in the pictures, you will be surprised how much leaks in from this tiny hole ... you get a strange feeling in the hand with the leaky glove, you take glove off slowly and see that dye has leaked on to your skin, you are pissed off by this and examine the glove and find the tiny hole. Maybe you blame someone else for borrowing the gloves and damaging them.
