That means Gretchen has to suffer as she watches Velma pound cloud after cloud of smoke into her lungs. Desperate, Gretchen even tries to breathe in as much of the smoke in the room as possible, but it's nowhere near enough to satisfy her.

Just as Gretchen starts shaking and is at her breaking point with cravings, a distraction finally gives her a chance. While Velma attends to matters in the kitchen, Gretchen quickly springs to action and swipes one from Velma's pack. She locks herself in the bathroom, where she's free to do so many inhales, exhales, nostril exhales, and double pumps that her quivering lungs can barely keep up!
