I was going crazy looking down at her shoes, waiting to take them off... and I'm sure she knew it. It felt like an eternity while I waited for her to eat her food in silence.

I pulled off her shoes as she played on her phone and immediately went to shove my toes into her socks. I got no reaction, so I kept going.
