The wooden board is extremely unforgiving. As a seat, your back cracks like rice crisps. The pressure builds all the way up to your eye balls. Your ears pop and the vessels in your eyes burst. Your lungs deflate with no hope of re-inflating until the massive goddess (or goddesses) choose to get up. It's an intense and scary position to find oneself in.
