Genie is a teacher in a very successful and lucrative school - the school has a strict dress code for all students and teachers and Genie quite likes it because the uniform fits her well and makes her look very attractive. The problem is the school's principal, she is extremely mean, and she never compromises. Generally Genie even manages that, but in the past few days it seems that principal's rules may have taken the toll on Genie's feet. Going to work in a business suit with no stockings and a pair of high heels may make Genie look hot and sophisticated, but it's extremely uncomfortable to stand on her feet in these shoes for more than 8 hours a day! To make matters worse, there are no chairs for the teacher in class, so she literally stands all day. In the first scene Genie is preparing to go to work. She is already dressed in the business suit (skirt with a nice blouse and a jacket) but this morning her left heel is sore and painful, she can't seem to wear the normal pumps- they are just too uncomfortable. She calls the school principal and tells her that her heel hurts and she might not be able to wear the standard uniform. Principal urges Genie to try different pairs of pumps (she tries 3 pairs in total) in an attempt to see which one is the least painful. She ends up picking on of the pairs and limps as she goes to work. The second scene Genie is in the classroom - her students are busy because she gave them a test to fill out, but she has to stand the whole time in the shoes. Her heel is throbbing but she can't do anything to help, there is nowhere to sit in class and of course she is not allowed to remove her shoes. Pacing around from side to side is painful, but she has to hide the pain from her students, otherwise they will rant her to the principle. After an hour she can't take the pain anymore - she leans against the wall and lifts her left foot up behind her back and only expose her heel - it is so red and swollen. She tries to rub it as discretely as possible behind her back so no-one will notice her. Touching her bare heel only makes it feel worse though. She needs to really massage it. She shoves her heel back into the shoe with a grimace and makes an excuse to leave the class . Outside no one sees her, so she moves her leg forward and lifts her foot on her lap (while still standing and leaning against the wall) she pops her heel out of the shoe but keeps the shoe over her toes then she massages her heel fully. In the third scene Genie is finally home after the miserable day, her heel is in its worst condition ever and she limps with her heel out of the shoe. Not being careful enough she trips over the carpet she feels something "pop" in the bottom of her heel - she must have injured it! Falling into the floor she grasps her heel with both hands and whimpers in pain after the initial shooting pain she manages to get up and to the kitchen to get an ice pack. She places the ice pack on the floor and she stands on it with her injured heel lifting her heel up when the ice is too cold then she places it back on the ice until there is some improvement.
