She is left on the back seat of a car, arms uncomfortably behind her back, her wrists secured together by a pair of Hamburg-8 Folding Handcuffs, while her captor is making preparations for her inside his house. The weather is extremely hot so he has left the car door open to prevent Carissa suffering from the heat. She obediently sits there for a while, but then realizes that her only hope is to try to make an escape. She climbs out and heads for the woods. She does not get far before her captor intercepts her. Amused by her attempt top get away, he makes her sit on the ground and wraps a chain around her ankles, securing it with a padlock. He walks off, confident that she will not go anywhere now. That does not stop Carissa trying. She works her way across the grass, periodically trying to pull open the padlock holding the chain firmly around her ankles, but it won't budge. She rolls and inches along on her bottom, desperate to escape. At the edge of the woods, the going gets a lot tougher. Knowing that she must free her legs in order to stand any chance of escape, Carissa rolls over and tries pulling on the padlock and chain again, but it's futile. She is not going anywhere.
