Ashden was called into the Dean of Student's office because her grades have been dropping and she is in jeopardy of losing her scholarship. As soon as she walked into the office the Dean complimented her on her shoes, preoccupied with the purpose of the meeting she didn't think much of it. She can't believe that she might lose her scholarship; she would need to drop out completely if this happens. She is so nervous she begins to fidget, swinging her foot with the flip flop dangling from her toes.
