There's this narrative that I shouldn't WANT to get paid because I'm Black. There are plenty to WON'T pay me because I'm Black. I'm switching that narrative. Pay me for having to live amongst Colonizers. Pay me because I'm a Black woman who has to live in a country ran by racist White men and White women who get possessed because they're told, 'no.' Pay me for being the powerful, threatening, soft, beautiful, passionate, intimidating, Black woman that I am. Play me because you're White and we have to put up with you.
