She notices an old trailer tire leaning up against some equipment a few feet away and reaches out with her booted foot to try to reach the tire. It is just barely within reach but with the cuffs cutting into her flesh it is a painful reach. But she has no choice and bites down hard on the rubber ball gag between her teeth and stretches her foot out. The tire moves some and she tries again and again each time the tire moves a little closer. She realizes that if she misjudges and knocks the tire over before it is close enough her struggles would have been in vain.
