A short story featuring Jessica Brooks follows the primary story. Jessica is captured at home, handcuffed and tied by an intruder. She attempts two daring escapes, including trying to use her hairpin to unlock her handcuffs, as well as an attempt to maneuver the chair she is tied to over to the front door to attract attention.
