As it has become winterly and cold outside, it seems appropriate to carry out the last punitive lesson of the thieving charwoman Andrea outdoor in the yard of the institute. Since Andrea hopes for leniency by now blackening her escapee Valerie, this episode gets a special touch. The Colonel is right to be outraged after being betrayed by his own adjutant and personal secretary, and so Valerie will pay for her delinquency at once. Both women are hosed down ice cold, they have to perform a ridiculous dance and must slap each other. What a pleasure!
