Irene, hired to be an assistant engineer at a space agency, only to find her work is not being taken seriously. She is frustrated by this and not sure how to even the playing field. This continues, until one day she is asked to help out on a special project. In the space lab Irene is told to finish attaching an astronaut to a tilt table, and move them through various positions to test g endurance. Someone will come back in a couple hours when she is done. Irene is left all alone with this task, knowing she won't get credit for whatever it is.
