Recently single again, she is nervous about seeing an old boyfriend, not to mention the “mean girls” that picked on her in school. The backstory: Kobe's 25th class reunion is coming up right around the corner. Recently single again, she is nervous about seeing an old boyfriend, not to mention the “mean girls” that picked on her in school. She has committed to getting into shape so she can wow everyone in the slinky dress and heels. While on a quick run the morning of the reunion, she stumbles on a curb and twists her ankle very badly. In tears and in pain, helpless and desperate, she calls Arielle, her stepdaughter’s best friend from junior high right through college. Arielle is local, and she’s a nurse, and Kobe have nowhere else to turn for help.
The video starts with Arielle helping Kobe into her apartment. Kobe is in sportswear. Arielle is in medical scrubs. She can’t put any weight on her ankle and Arielle helps support her weight as she gets Kobe to the sofa. Arielle positions Kobe on the sofa, and then gently brushes the hair away from her face and kisses her forehead softly. She tells you Kobe she is going to take care of her now, just like she used to take care of her back when boys were teasing her and breaking her heart.
Arielle says she needs to examine Kobe's ankle and it’s going to be painful. She says she understands, and that she can feel it swelling up like a balloon. Arielle very gently rolls up Kobe's pant leg, pulls the laces out of her sneaker and slips it off. Kobe is in pain and upset, knowing the reunion is ruined. So much for reconnecting with the one that got away. Arielle tells Kobe not to move as she goes for ice and an ace bandage.
Kobe reaches forward to try to hold her ankle to ease the pain, but she get no relief. Arielle returns and asks how Kobe is doing. Kobe informs her it’s getting worse without the support from the shoe, and she is getting lightheaded. Arielle sits and puts her foot on top of a pillow in her lap and asks exactly what happened. Kobe is unsure. One minute she is running along feeling great, then there was a curb, somehow she went over on her ankle and heard a loud pop. Arielle very gently begins to probe around the ankle with her fingertips asking about the pain. It all hurts on the outside of Kobe's ankle, but most especially right in that hollow under her ankle bone. The she tries to move her ankle, and almost any movement is agonizing. She asks her to wiggle her toes, and she is only barely able to make them twitch. Lastly, she puts her palm under the ball of her foot and asks if she can press down, like working a gas pedal, but she replies she cannot put any pressure against her hand. Kobe asks if it’s broken, and it isn’t, but she tells her all the ligaments are severely sprained. Despite the pain and embarrassment, Kobe is starting to enjoy being taken care of like this.
Arielle bandages the ankle, and continues to inspect it. She admits that she has always had a crush on Ms. Lee. She starts to worship her hurt foot. She licks and sucks her toes. She runs her tongue along her highly arched feet. The movie ends with the worshiping continuing.
