The show had gained a reputation for its intense culinary battles and behind-the-scenes drama, and this season’s grand finale was set to feature a head-to-head cook-off between two of the restaurants' most talented sous chefs - Lana and Dacey, both vying for the position of head chef, would battle it out in a televised event.

The tension is immediately clear between Lana and Dacey. Verbal (and eventually physical) jabs are thrown as each chef works on perfecting their dish and under pression of the show's cameras. When each chef turns away to grab additional ingredients, their opponent seizes the opportunity to sabotage their dish unbeknownst to either chef. Lana in the midst of throwing extra hot sauce and pepper in Dacey's dish get caught red handed. Lana attempts to explain that she was actually trying to help Dacey, but Dacey is not buying Lana's excuse! Dacey angrily throws salt in Lana's eyes and then takes Lana's hat off and throws it to the ground.

Lana attempts to remain focus and work on her dish but realizes she is behind so she removes a piece of Dacey clothing hoping that it will slow Dacey down in the process. It does not! Dacey continues to remove Lana's clothes faster than Lana can remove Dacey's and ultimately is able to strip Lana completely down nude. Lana is mortified because not only did she lose the competition, but she is now completely naked on national television.
