Time you burnt a pair of trainers! Think you ought to "jog up to the fire" wearing maybe either leggings or lycra exercise type shorts with a short pleated skirt or dress over the top - warm your feet up in them a bit, then ease them off of your feet onto the top and let them burn then add socks, bottoms and knickers to the fire!
