Writing is easy, besides, she had already gone to the school library and printed out all the materials she needed, all that was left was to write it, which she generally tended to do a bit last minute without consequence. Her professor, Mr. Kennedy, had made a big deal about this paper all semester, incessantly warning the class that it would be very difficult and time consuming, urging his students to start early and come to them if they had any questions or problems with the assignment, particularly stressing that he would NOT give students any help beyond the cutoff date he had given. Lily had every intention of doing well on the paper, she just thought all those warnings were for those not so bright students, she had never asked for help to write a paper in college, so this clearly did not apply to her, though she thought he was kind to be so concerned for his students to do well in spite of his sometimes gruff manner. She found him after class hours in his office, and very nervously approached him. She could barely get out the words and was terrified that he would yell at her and refuse to help anyway. While her professor was highly disappointed in her, and did give her a good scolding for not asking him sooner, she begged him to help and he reluctantly agreed on two conditions. The first, she had no problem with as he simply warned her to tell no one about this as it would look bad to show favoritism. The second, she certainly was not expecting and was very shocked and embarrassed at the suggestion.
