Ever-forgetful, Lizzie forgot to blow out 2 candles which were left burning all day after we left the apartment. My step-father's house burned down when he was young so I was raised to be extremely cautious about fire safety. So needless to say, I'm fairly ticked off. But more importantly, I'm interested in instilling these same values in Lizzie about safety - she needs to know this can't happen again.
