Poor Yvette gimps along in public on one crutch in a single sneaker. Poor Yvette gimps along in public on one crutch in a single sneaker. Her jeans leg is cut off to accommodate her latest term cast and her cast is in a mismatched half shoe with her long pretty toes hanging out of the front. Her exposed casted toes are getting pretty sore though as she gimps along a rocky path with sharp small stones. More annoyingly the half shoe continues to unlace itself and she has to keep retying the laces. It feels stupid on a shoe that makes her foot feel pretty naked. The laces also keep getting between her naked toes as she walks which is really annoying. She has to find a place to rest her aching cast foot so she can massage and rub deeply between each of her exposed toes. She decides it's time to sock her casted toes to protect them before she gets to her friend's apartment. She uses a toe sock to protect each toe, even though the stark, different toe colors have people staring more at her cast foot. She pulls off her barely protective cast shoe to put on her sock, which is difficult over the cast. Getting each of her long toes into the the cast sock is also a challenge especially keeping her little pinkie toe partially peeking out of the cast into the cast sock. When she finally gets it on as well as her half shoe, she stands and props her leg up behind her to check out the obvious deficiency with her foot wear. The bottom of her poor cast foot is still ill-protected where half her sole and long toes blast out of the cast and beyond the front of her shoe with only her toe sock to protect it. She shakes her head because there is not much she can do about it and continues down the steep stone stairs to her friend's apartment.
