The heat bares down on me while I indulge in a little makeshift picnic in my yard. I take my time peeling the first orange; each little strip I pull off is audible over the sound of birds. Each segment is so juicy and delicious I almost forget you're watching... but I'd hate to obscure your view. I know you love watching me indulge. I finish the first orange and move on to the second, greedy for its refreshing sweetness in my mouth.
