A tax inspector has come to visit Lydia to discuss how she might start repaying off the very large debt she owes the IRS. She claims she will need an extension in order to pay, but the inspector points out that she has already had two, and that a third is seldom, if ever, granted. Lydia insists that she can't pay her debt off without it.
