This week I had an appointment with a patient that had a ridiculous belief. This patient thought that men are superior to women. His belief made him have quite a bad behaviour with all women and particularly with his female colleagues. Unfortunately, that kind of behaviour was causing many problems at work and his chief was seriously thinking of firing him... However, before taking such a radical decision he wanted to give him one last chance.

That’s why he sent him over to me. He initially didn’t want to come to the appointment, especially when he was told that the was a woman. When his chief explained him that he had no other option otherwise he had to fire him, he changed his mind and came to the appointment.

I immediately understood that he wasn’t going to be collaborative at all and that it would be very hard trying to make him think reasonably and discuss about his beliefs. Besides we did not had much time for a long therapy and I knew that he would never accept a second appointment. That’s why I decided to use an alternative therapy that has never failed... the “boob supremacy therapy”... a therapy that would be able to transform this arrogant patient into an obedient slave...
