Last night I invited for dinner some old friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. We spent a wonderful evening and without even realizing it, time passed by. Since they all came from far away, I invited my guests to rest at my home for the night. My faithful butler makes sure that the guest rooms are always perfectly clean.

I was sure that we would all wake up very late the following morning. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to tell my butler to prepare a rich brunch for the following day. However, I remembered I told him that he could take the day off that next day. ...

Since they all came from far away, I invited my guests to rest at my home for the night. My faithful butler makes sure that the guest rooms are always perfectly clean.

I was sure that we would all wake up very late the following morning. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to tell my butler to prepare a rich brunch for the following day. However, I remembered I told him that he could take the day off that next day. He was visibly tired... He had a really busy week and in addition he had prepared an excellent dinner. I decided not to tell him anything and let him rest for that day. I would just take my friends out for brunch at a restaurant.

When I finally went to bed, I found a folded sheet on my pillow that my butler had left. He had written a long list of dishes that he would prepare tomorrow morning for my guests and he was asking me to confirm with a message if everything was to my liking or if he had to make any changes.

My faithful butler not only did not take the day off but without telling him nothing, he already knew how to anticipate my needs. Now you understand why he is the only one that deserves my special attention. When I finished reading I sent him a message telling him that everything was perfect and that as soon as my friends left, I would call him. I would give him immediately the reward he deserved ... his favourite...
