The slave lying on the floor in front of Princess Katie's toilet isn't there merely as decoration. He serves a functional purpose as well as it lets her relieve herself on the toilet while having all the dirt licked off the bottom of her feet. He also provides an auto flush feature as Princess Katie can just exit the bathroom and not have to bother flushing since he will take care of that for her.
