Pets do need to be fed, and Princess Ashli's pet is no exception. He's a good little pet, very obedient and subservient to her which is why she permits him to eat her scraps of food which she tosses to the ground. Once she is finished with her salad she even graciously puts it on the floor, puts her feet in it and lets him feed off the salad-foot feast! Such an amazing reward, that's what slaves get for being loyal and obedient to Princess Ashli.
