I try to start the Civic after it's been sitting. I pump and pump the pedal, but I can't get it started no matter how hard I try. I try pumping it every way I can think of and still it's just being stubborn. I keep thinking if I just keep pumping the pedal, sooner or later it will start for me! I end up very disappointed.
