I had braces when I was younger and since they have been removed. However, I still have braces on the back of my lower front teeth. I was told the braces will stay forever because the roots of my teeth are so short that without them they would not stay in place. It's very difficult to clean this area with my toothbrush so I always end up with a lot of plaque.
