Ash then Lola come in through the door. Lola hangs her head disconsolately. Miss Belle: “Ah. Thank you for coming, Ash. You have brought Lola with you. I understand that Lola's careless work was the cause of us losing the Dundee account?” Ash: “That's right, Miss Belle. It was a simple job but her mind was on other things apparently.” Lola: “I'm sorry, Miss Belle.” Miss Belle: “There's something I need to get. Please wait here.” She stands up and exits the door. Ash: “You'll have seen these canes?” Lola: “Canes? Will I be caned do you think?” Ash: “Oh yes. Why do you think Miss Belle asked me to bring you to her office?” Lola looks worried and rubs the back of her skirt with her hand in anticipation. The door opens and Miss Belle returns carrying a martinet. She picks up the canes and puts them and the martinet off camera. She sits at her desk and picks up the sheet of paper again.........
