When 'Step-Brother' called round at Ava's house he had an ulterior motive. She welcomed him into her property without any idea what that motive was and invited him to join her for a drink. At first he seemed very friendly, making small talk. But soon enough the tone of his questions changed. He began to drop not so subtle hints and ask questions which made her feel uncomfortable.
