Nica and I decided today to slaughter one of our 3 pigs. Carefully we choose one together. Nica does a vet anal while I am already preparing everything. A choice is made, a wonderful ham donor is selected. So I gleefully load the stunner. Nica pets and soothes the pig a bit. Two other pigs in the background are also curious about what is happening. And then the time has come, the pig is stunned, I make the final cut and the boar twitches ... he is pulled up on the chain hoist to shave all the bristles and be dismembered....

Great setting with real barn, a rusty old chain hoist and two pretty ladies in white rubber aprons. I guess it doesn't get more authentic than this for home slaughtering, does it? :-)

Nica und ich haben heute beschlossen, eines unserer 3 Schweine zu schlachten. Sorgfältig wählen wir eines zusammen aus. Nica macht eine Tierarzt-Analuntersuchung, während ich bereits alles vorbereite. Eine Wahl ist getroffen, ein wunderbarer Schinkenspender wird ausgewählt. Ich lade also genüßlich den Betäubungsapparat. Nica streichelt und beruhigt das Schwein ein wenig. Zwei andere Schweine im Hintergrund sind ebenfalls neugierig, was hier passiert. Und dann ist es soweit, das Schwein ist betäubt, ich mache den endgültigen Schnitt und der Schlachteber zuckt ... er wird am Kettenzug hochgezogen, um alle Borsten zu rasieren und zerlegt zu werden...

Tolle Umgebung mit echtem Stall, einem verrosteten, alten Kettenzug und zwei hübschen Ladies in weißer Gummischürze. Authentischer geht es für unsere Hausschlachtung wohl nicht mehr, oder? :-)
