There is nothing as good for the calves as walking in deep sand. It really makes the calf muscles heat up, as you shall see as my boyfriend follows me with the cam as I trudge along. Part of the reason I have such muscley calves is because I lived for over twenty years near the beach in Florida and spent a lot of time going through sand.
