Another in the series of unbearably intimate clips of me doing very personal things, this mini-movie features me tending to my toenails. It begins with some precise clipping of my nails and cuticles with a special chrome instrument (with very close-up views of my strong veiny hands operating the thing) and you can hear the click-click as I cut through the tough old nails and skin. After I get everything trimmed, I paint remover on my nails, and while I'm waiting for it to soften the old polish, I use an emery board to smooth my nails. Then it's time to rub the old polish off, and in order to do a good job of that, I have to cradle my feet in my hands just so. I picked out a nice shade of pink polish, and in the nearly six minutes that follow, I get it on just right, with all the minute adjustments us girls do with our fingernails to make sure our toesies look good for you-know-who! Keep in mind that I'm sixty years old, so I've had a lot of practice! Once I get all ten nails painted, I tend to a pesky strand of cuticle. When I'm all done, I put my feet up and wiggle my toes to cap your viewing pleasure. In a delicious twist of irony, we played a very contemporary acoustic guitar CD in the background during the whole thing. By now you've come to expect all my clips in high-definition, and this one is too so you see all the good stuff in sharp detail. You can almost smell my feet, the picture is so clear.
