The man tells the lawyer just how happy he is to hear such great news. But for some reason, he is not surprised. This is because down in his basement, behind a stack of boxes, Katie struggles bound and gagged. It appears she hasn't skipped town after all. She was foolish enough to meet the man at a secluded place with his promise to settle their case out of court. Instead, he grabbed her, tied her up and now has her stashed away. But in order to keep her well restrained and quiet for her ride in the trunk to a place south of the border, the man needs to tie her better. Soon he has her wrapped and hogtied with several hundred feet of rope so she can hardly move. Then to quiet her more, the man re-gags her by stuffing her mouth full and wrapping it with tape very tightly so she can hardly make a sound. Katie is left to struggle bound and gagged on the cold basement floor while the man makes arrangements for her one way trip later in the evening.
