In this clip, John Marsh steps into some very deep mud. The mud doesn't just pull his body completely under, it seems to have taken control of his mind. He doesn't really try to escape, or cry for help. He squirms and puts up some resistance, but he quickly succumbs to the hungry quick mud.

After the sinking scene, there is bonus footage that shows John wriggling his way out of the mud, squeegeeing off the mud (with muddy crotch shots), and, finally, a very short shot of him maneuvering his kayak into the water.
