Since we haven't released a proper quicksand scene, lately, here is a peat mud clip that gets right to the point. In 7 minutes, Doug steps into the bottomless quagmire and sinks out of sight; maybe he didn't realize how deep it was, or he thought he could reach the tree on the other side. As it turns out, Doug cannot escape from the quickmud. He thrashes around a bit, and considers the merits of just holding still, but eventually, the mud sucks him under, and all that is left is bubbles as the last air leaves his lungs.
