I run my hair brush through my dry hair, letting the bristles tug out any snarls or tangles in my hair. After I've washed my hair and put it up in a towel, I use a spray in conditioner to soften it, and then run a smaller brush with wider bristles through my hair to make sure it is properly covered in the spray.
