Never in my life have I experienced such a painful sore throat. I start to speak and immediately get struck with a painful coughing attack. It's not just the coughing, it's the thick phlegm that comes with it. It gives me anxiety because it feels like I can't breathe. You can hear it as I cough. Each cough feels like razor blades or shards of glass cutting the inside of my throat. My eyes tear, my nose runs and I turn red. It's intense.
