Karly endures a hellacious tirade berating her for foolishly losing her money and demands...even threatens her...that she had better make the money back, PLUS interest! Karly stumbles and stammers trying to convey that the crypto investment game is very tricky and volatile. Ms. Vanburen will hear none of it and threatens legal action. Karly fumbles for the words assuring her that litigation is not necessary. With just a little bit of cash, she is sure she can make the money back. Ms. Vanburen is furious that Karly would have the audacity to ask for more money.
Karly gives her word and Vanburen relents BUT she only has $500 to invest to make it all back. Karly assures her that it would be an impossibility to see those kinds of gains with such a small investment. Vanburen threatens that if she is not made whole, she will destroy her in court. She then hangs up leaving Karly, confused, dejected and stressed. How is she going to cover such a big loss with such a small amount.
Fretting and frantically combing through her screens, an email pops up. It's from an old rival. A rival, interestingly enough, who she tricked into stealing her biggest client: Ms. Vanburen. She opens the email with great trepidation. It seems her rival is emailing her about a hot tip. "Why would she want to help me?" Just then, the phone rings. It's her rival, Stacy. They briefly discuss this new tip that she is willing to share. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when she is under pressure to produce, and to produce BIG, Karly agrees to log in to Stacy's account and place Ms. Vanburen's $500 into the investment pool.
Karly is floored when the currency doubles and then triples. She's confident that such a stock will have her back in Ms. Vanburen's good graces in no time!
