I bend forward, trying to wet my hair. The water flows over my forehead like a mountain stream, the drops falling to the ground like bullets.

I lather my arm, using enough shower gel for an entire family. The scent of lavender fills the air, a small comfort in this claustrophobic space. I rinse, water splashing everywhere, like a tropical storm.

Finally, it's time to get out. I straighten up slowly, my head brushing the ceiling. I have to be careful not to break anything as I dry myself with a towel that feels like a handkerchief. But despite everything, I feel clean, refreshed. A giant in a world of Lilliputians, perhaps, but a clean giant.

Ma per ora, questa minuscola cabina è il mio rifugio. Mi piego in avanti, cercando di bagnare i miei capelli. L'acqua scorre sulla mia fronte come un ruscello di montagna, le gocce che cadono a terra sembrano proiettili.

Mi insapono il braccio, usando una quantità di bagnoschiuma che basterebbe per una famiglia intera. Il profumo di lavanda riempie l'aria, un piccolo conforto in questo spazio claustrofobico. Mi risciacquo, l'acqua che schizza ovunque, come una tempesta tropicale.

Finalmente, è il momento di uscire. Mi raddrizzo lentamente, la testa che sfiora il soffitto. Devo fare attenzione a non rompere nulla mentre mi asciugo con un asciugamano che sembra un fazzoletto. Ma nonostante tutto, mi sento pulita, rinfrescata. Un gigante in un mondo di lillipuziani, forse, ma un gigante pulito.
